It’s Sunday Funday and I’m sharing with y’all my Sunday best. I love dressing up, but you can catch me in my boyfriend jeans before you can catch me in heels. I decided to try the denim on denim look that I never liked until now. Read below for deets…

pic21

To get this casual, denim look, I stuck to the basics. I wore my favorite boyfriend jeans from Envy. Head in and use code: littlepieceofchic for 15% off! I added this neutral pocketed tee from Old Navy that I got for 7 dollars! It is so comfy and matches EVERYTHING. I finished it off with this window-pane, patterned, denim top that I scored from TjMaxx. It is the softest button up I own and I love the light wash color of it. I added my chestnut mules for comfort and contrast & finished with my go to necessories: fossil watch, Kendra Scott rose gold necklace & a black bralette!

Denim on Denim tips: Make sure your top and bottoms are similar in color. For this look, I wore two pieces that were light washed jeans. You either want to do both light wash or both dark wash. I was never a fan of denim on denim until recently. Try it and maybe you’ll fall in love with it too! #canadiantuxedo

It’s finally starting to feel like spring permanently here in Texas and my closet is beyond excited! I am sharing with y’all a day & night look featuring this adorable sweater from sodamsel.com and my new favorite boyfriend jeans from the new boutique in Denton, Shop Envy! Read below to see how I styled these pieces for the day and changed it up for night…

To get this spring vibe, I took my waffle knit-sweater that is super light weight & comfy and paired it with my new go-to jeans, these boyfriend jeans that kept my look casual and comfy. I got these jeans from the new, adorable boutique in Denton, Texas, Envy that you should definitely go check out if you haven’t yet. Use code [littlepieceofchic] at checkout for 15% off!  I finished this day time look with the BEST shoes ever, I swear. These chestnut mules are from Old Navy for under $30. They are super comfy and I wear them almost every day, whoops.

Necessories: I threw on my sunnies from Urban Outfitters for this bright, sunny day and accessorized with my new rose gold Kendra Scott necklace that paired great with my tan sweater.

Night:

To go from day to night, sometimes you only have to change one thing: the shoes. Or atleast that is what I do when I am in a rush! For this night out look, I switched my mules for these chunky heeled wedges to give me some much needed height and dress up my look. I scored these wedges from TjMaxx for under $30  and I love the cutout detailing and chunky heel(spring fashion must).

kickin’ it

Transitioning into spring is a tricky task in the state of Texas. The groundhog supposedly said no more winter but we still get cold, rainy 50 degree days mixed in between weeks of beautiful, sunny 70 degree days. I like diversity but make up your freakin mind Texas. Anyway, I wanna show you how I dress for this time of year while using some winter items with my new spring ones!

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Obviously it’s so long sweaters, turtlenecks & coats, but you can still hold onto some of those winter items and use them for other seasons. I love wearing my leather jacket year round. It can be paired with shorts, jeans or dresses to add some diversity to your florals and bright spring colors. Another winter item I catch myself using in other seasons are my beanies. This beanie is a fun, mustard yellow so it brightens up my look giving it more of a spring feel. I finished the look with my new fav graphic tee, boyfriend jeans, and kept it casual and comfy in my nike kicks!

Because this look is super casual, boyfriend jeans and tennies kind of day, I didn’t really use any accessories besides my beanie. My jacket is more like an accessory because it can be tied around my waist if it gets too warm outside or thrown back on if Texas decides it wants to surprise us with some winter again. Graphic tees are my go to all year round and what’s better than one about breakfast & coffee?

Hope you have an amazing week fashionistas,

xoxo, LPOC

Winter was cut short this year by a weirdly early spring full of 70 degree days that I am not complaining about. This is one of my last winter looks before it’s time to spring forward. This look is perfect for the in between season because of the layers. Read below for styling tips & details…

This is a monochromatic look that I wear way too much but never fails to look put together and chic. This outfit includes my favorite things: comfy sweaters, leather jacket, cheetah, ripped jeans, and booties. I love black & brown together and if anyone tells you differently, they couldn’t be more wrong, at least that’s my thought. I wore my rockstar ripped jeans from Old Navy with this comfy, brown sweater. To deal with the unexpected winter moments in Texas, I wore my leather jacket that I got from TjMaxx. I finished with these grey, buckled booties.

To necessorize, I wore a few statement pieces. This cheetah, slouchy beanie is from Nordstrom for $18. I love the slouch look and that it is cheetah of course. I finished the look with my gold, Fossil watch, Warby glasses & Kate Spade red wallet that I use as a clutch when I don’t need a huge purse to carry around.

Have a wonderful week fashionistas,

xoxo, LPOC

It’s the day everyone either loves or hates…Happy VDAY! I say whether you are single, dating, married, or whatever, just embrace this day and have fun with it. Do something adventurous with your other half, have a girls night out, take yourself on a shopping spree, treat yourself or someone else and spread some love!

I wanted to share with y’all my Valentine’s Day outfit that will look good on anyone! Read below for outfit details and vday ideas…

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

For my vday look, I kept it all black & white and added a pop of red with my shoes. I am not one for wearing a bunch of pink but I love the simple pop of color to spice it up and keep it festive for vday. Lately, I am all about midi skirts, they are the perfect length to keep it classy but show off some leg. This midi skirt might just be my favorite because its black & metallic! I got this skirt from Old Navy around Christmas time and it’s on sale now for 8 dollars! I decided to add some pattern to my look with this b&w striped tunic that I tucked in. I finished my look with these chunky, red, suede heels that are also from Old Navy and they are my favorite heels I own. They are also available in black! I love how dressy they are but how they are still easy to walk in(I suck at walking in heels).

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

To finish my vday look, I wore some gold necessories. This gold, chain bib necklace is one of my go to pieces for special occasions, and vday is definitely one of those. I ordered it online from purpleperidot.com which is way cheaper than the real bauble bar one. I also wore my gold, fossil watch to tie in with my necklace and fancy it up. My skirt and shoes are what made my look perfect for vday because they were just enough dressy without going overboard. Read on for date night ideas/GNO ideas…

  • typical dinner/movie: which I have to admit is what we are doing this year, lame but always a big hit. check groupon.com for dinner or movie coupons!
  • day date: picnic! We did this last year and loved it. Food tastes better outside and it was perfect weather to feed the ducks and spend some time together outside.
  • Netflix & chill. literally sounds amazing. Build a fort, grab your favorite candy and call it a night!
  • GNO: wine, chocolate, wine, rom com marathon, dance party, shop, wine, jam to Beyonce & TSwift, sleepover, wine?

All jokes aside, I actually live in these jeans and all boyfriend jeans I own so you should getcha self a pair! They only get comfier as you wear them and they are the perfect casual look. Read on for how I style my boyfriend jeans in the winter…

I got this oversized, dark green sweater for Christmas and I’ve probably worn it 10 times at least. It is from Urban Outfitters, thanks Santa, so it is great quality and it keeps you warm! My favorite part of this sweater are the elbow patches. I threw on my favorite boyfriend jeans that I got from Target last spring. I finished the look with my grey booties from Old Navy that tied in well with my grey elbow patches.

Necessories: I wore my go to purse, this rose gold, metallic Kate Spade tote and my Warby Parker glasses that make me feel like Jess from New Girl(spirit animal). That’s about all the necessories I needed to keep this look casual yet complete.

Welcome to the new and improved Little Piece of Chic. I figured with the new year, it was time for a new look to my little blog! I’m not big on change but I am loving this new look and I hope you do too! I am sharing with y’all a new outfit that I have been wearing on repeat for weeks now…outfit repeater, same Lizzie Mcguire. I am all about turtlenecks this season and this one is by far my favorite. Read on for outfit details & styling tips…

For this look, I went with my usual color scheme for winter: grey, black & green. I own this turtleneck in this color as well as in mustard and they are both on sale in stores for under $10 at Old Navy!! They are the warmest thing and I wear them all the time. I paired my turtleneck with these black, holy, skinny jeans from Old Navy as well. They are high rise and my go to jean. I finished my outfit off with these high top, grey buckled booties. I love how edgy they are and that they tie in perfectly with my turtleneck. These boots come in black as well, at Old Navy of course…woops. I threw on this dark green, waterproof coat that I scored last year in the clearance section of Old Navy for only 10 bucks. It has a removable hood which is perfect for the random Texas weather. Read below for necessory details…

As far as the necessories go(necessary accessories) it’s my word like fetch, I will make it a thing. Anyway, I added a few fun pieces to complete my look. These rose gold, studded Kendra Scott earrings hardly are taken off. I got them for Christmas and I have worn them almost everyday since. They are cheaper than most Kendra Scott earrings and the perfect, simple necessory to complete any look. I wore my brand new Warby Parker eyeglasses that I ordered online after using their home try on system. The brand is awesome, their glasses are adorable and affordable, and they give a pair when you buy a pair! My frames are the Laurel which are a dark tortoise with a large frame that I love so much. I finished my necessories off with my rose gold Kate Spade tote and my Fossil watch that I wear too much.
